During August, we open the doors to our idyllic Tuckwell Amphitheatre!

This is your chance to come and experience the magic of theatre under the stars. Each Tuckwell season we welcome an array of visiting productions including classic drama productions, family friendly favourites, comedy, music and live film screenings.

Useful information: 

• Tuckwell is a short distance away from the Bacon Theatre, with free on-site parking available. During busy periods we can’t guarantee spaces so we recommend that you allow plenty of time for parking
• Hot and cold drinks, including alcoholic beverages are available to purchase along with a selection of snacks, sweets and chocolate
• Bring low-backed seating (camping/deck chairs are ideal) and prepare for all weathers. In the event of unsafe weather this event will transfer into the Bacon Theatre
• Access is via a gravel path, staff will be happy to provide assistance to pass this with a wheelchair
• We have reserved spaces at the back of the auditorium for wheelchair users and their guests
• Unisex adapted toilet with level access are available in the Sports Hall
