A Streetcar Named Desire is one of the most visceral and intense of Tennessee Williams’ plays. Blanche is running away from her past and has arrived at her sister Stella’s run-down apartment in New Orleans. Stanley, Stella’s husband, doesn’t believe a word that Blanche says and is determined to find out the truth, whatever it takes. The cast of senior actors bring this electric performance to life and the intimate setting of the Bacon Theatre stage gives the play even more power.
